Block out your Sundays. Plan the whole summer around the full Sunday Music lineup for 2026-27. The free series at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre will run for 19 Sundays between 18 October 2026 and 21 March 2027.
Opening afternoon: Walyalup Kannajil and Downsyde

The season opens on 18 October with Walyalup Kannajil and Perth hip-hop trio Downsyde. Walyalup Kannajil return to the stage after two years away, performing protest songs translated into Noongar. Downsyde bring their live energy to the lawn. The WA group has shared stages with Jurassic 5, Cypress Hill, Grandmaster Flash, The Black Eyed Peas and The Roots.
A season across genres. The program moves from Bella Dyer‘s vocals and the storytelling of Noah Dillon to the roots reggae of interdisciplinary artist Jinan. Grace Barbé, who plays psychedelic rock, afrobeat and reggae, returns to the Arts Centre after a year that included a performance with The Cat Empire.
PrideFEST special. On 8 November, the Front Garden hosts a PrideFEST session featuring vocalist Queency and DJs Oniiké & LANI.

Experimental turns and dance lessons. Later in the season, Mossy Fogg brings swamp blues and gravelly vocals, paired with 2PCE Feed, the fuzzed-out blues duo of Abbe May and Lochy. In January, Mubanga Studios offers Afrobeat dance lessons with Mwaba Mubunga, followed by Perth African fusion band Shangara Jive.
Artists from around the country. Casii Williams, a Western Aranda woman originally from Ntaria/Hermannsburg in Central Australia, brings her own sound and perspective to the stage. Sydney’s LamBros arrive fresh from a European tour, with raw vocals, distorted acoustic guitar and a homemade hybrid drum kit.
Finale on 21 March

The season closes on 21 March with De Cuba Son launching their new album across two sets. In the first, you can learn a range of partner dances. In the second, the band plays the new record.
City of Fremantle Director of Creative Arts and Community Pete Stone says the series is a chance to hear how much music is being made in WA and further afield. “You can come down for an afternoon, find a spot under the trees, hear something you’ve never heard before and discover your new favourite band,” he says.
Entry is free. Fremantle Community Bank, part of Bendigo Bank, supports the 2026-27 season.
