This season, Candlelight Ballet is helping Perth get a taste of the magic as it brings some of Tchaikovsky’s best known ballets, including Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
Taking place at the historic Perth Town Hall, members of Australian Baroque will glide along the stage to captivate audiences as the stirring compositions of the Russian master soar. From “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” to “Sleeping Beauty Waltz”, witness the world’s greatest ballet as classical performers harmonise movement and melody.
Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake & More
Once again, the mesmerizing display of music and dance brought to you by Candlelight Ballet will feature renditions of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker Suite by members of Australian Baroque. And thanks to the impressive reception at the previous concerts, the upcoming edition will also include songs from the Carmen Suite, such as Toreador and Segeduilla.
Ballerinas Sarah Hepburn and Lauren Murray will take to the stage and perform at select moments throughout the night to accompany the stirring music of dances in the likes of “Arabian Dance” and “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”.
