Spread the word, spring is blooming with more Candlelight concerts.
Concerts by Candlelight have invited all of Perth to relive the greatest works of classical music, from Vivaldi to Mozart to Bach, in an intimate atmosphere and experience music in a new light at some of the city’s most stunning venues.
The season’s first open-air Candlelight concert will feature classical renditions of spooky songs such as Thriller, the theme song from Psycho and Ghostbusters as well as Tales From The Crypt by Danny Elfman and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom Of The Opera.
However, if classical music isn’t quite your jam, then no worries because the Candlelight series has upped its musical offering with tribute concerts to some of Jazz’s most celebrated artists like Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole.
Perth’s first Candlelight concerts featured the scores of some of classical music’s most revered composers, all played by the most talented classical musicians. Don’t worry if you missed out because Mozart and Puccini make a return and we’re sure to see more of Beethoven and Vivaldi soon enough. There is also a concert dedicated to the Italian maestro Ludovico Einaudi coming up, which is bound to be an incredible experience.
The concerts, which have taken place at Winthrop Hall, the Octagon and Dolphin theatres and soon the Perth Town Hall, have been met by countless 5-star reviews. Guests have said that the evenings are “a creative, enchanting, and new concert experience” and that “the performers were fantastic!”
The Candlelight series takes place twice each night with two back-to-back 60-65 minute performances. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each show and no late entry is permitted.
Please note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
