Yarri Bar + Restaurant at Dunsborough earned a place on Gourmet Traveller’s Top 100 Australian Restaurants, The Australian’s Hot 50, and the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100. Now, it has opened a temporary kitchen at Crown Perth this winter.
The residency occupies the former Bistro Guillaume space inside Crown Metropol and runs Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner across six weeks.
The menu follows the same seasonal and producer-led philosophy that made Yarri a destination for Perth diners willing to make the drive south. Dishes centre on premium, ethically sourced Western Australian ingredients, with crowd favourites including kingfish, lamb, and vegetable-led plates that shift with the harvest.
Aaron Carr Brings South West Produce to the City

At the stove is Executive Chef Aaron Carr, named Western Australian Chef of the Year in 2015 and previously working alongside Massimo Bottura at Osteria Francescana in Modena and Matt Orlando at Amass in Copenhagen.
Carr said the residency allows the restaurant to reach a wider audience while staying true to its regional identity. “Our approach to modern Australian cuisine draws on ideas and techniques from around the world, while remaining grounded in the character and produce of Western Australia,” he said.
Diners can choose between three- or six-course set menus, with bookings essential given the limited run. Reserve your table on the Crown Perth website.
A Growing Tradition of Pop-Ups at Crown
The Yarri residency follows a series of short-run dining events at the Crown Metropol space, including David Thompson’s Fireback earlier in 2026 and the current Greek by George Calombaris, which is in its final weeks with seats selling fast.
Crown Perth CEO Brian Pereira described Yarri as one of Western Australia’s most celebrated dining experiences, noting that the format gives city-based guests access to regional quality without travelling to the south west. The residency runs 28 July to 5 September 2026, Tuesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner.
