Krispy Kreme is celebrating all things Pokémon

Are you ready to feel old? This year is the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, and to celebrate, Krispy Kreme has released a limited-edition range of doughnuts inspired by your favourite childhood characters.

The classic starter Pokémon, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle, all get an honourable mention. Of course, the famous Pikachu will be there too. And there’s also a doughnut that features the iconic Poke ball.

Doughnuts are $3.75 each and will be released in stores every two weeks. At the moment, you can find Pikachu, Charmander and the Poke Ball in stores. Meanwhile, you can purchase the full set online.

A full set, or the Pokémon Dozen, costs $29.95. It’s made up of one of each flavour, two Pikachu doughnuts and six Original Glazed doughnuts.

To get your mouth watering, the Pikachu doughnut is a Signature Original Glazed doughnut filled with chocolate crème. It’s dipped in white truffle and topped with a Pikachu white chocolate plaque.

Meanwhile, the Poke Ball doughnut is also a Signature Original Glazed. It’s dipped in white icing, topped with red sprinkles and finished with a Poke Ball white chocolate plaque.

Further details about the other doughnuts will be released in the coming weeks. You can keep an eye out for more information here.
