Us West Aussies love a good beer, especially one that’s been brewed locally. And while our state has a proud tradition of brewing, one local legend we keep coming back to is Little Creatures.
Twenty-three years since opening its first ever brewery in Fremantle, the internationally celebrated label has announced the transformation of The Camfield, Australia’s largest pub, into an adjoining microbrewery in partnership with Three Pound Group.
The new microbrewery will see a slew of new beers developed on site every few months, including limited-release beers, Backyard Ale, an All-Australian IPA, and a new permanent Draught Ale that celebrates the partnership.
Old faithfuls will also be continued at the microbrewery’s production line such as Little Creatures’ OG Pale Ale – so you already know you’re in safe hands if straying from the usual Fremantle watering hole.
Little Creatures Head Brewer, Russ Gosling, says, “Little Creatures is proud to be opening its second outpost in Western Australia, twenty-three years on since opening its doors in Fremantle.”
“We’ve put a lot of effort into creating a space that is both inviting and exciting for locals and visitors alike, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
While General Manager of Three Pound Group, Tim Mclernon, says, “The Camfield has been pouring Little Creatures on tap since we opened the doors in 2018 and are honoured to be its second home in WA.”
And although the new Little Creatures microbrewery means we have to say goodbye to Bevy Brewing Co. at The Camfield, we can still expect jolly good nights out at Australia’s largest pub.
