Even though it feels like the world of streaming has taken over the world, going to the cinema is still an experience. The atmospheric sound, the massive screen, and of course eating all of your popcorn before the trailers have finished. In March, we’ve got new instalments in the Creed, Scream and John Wick franchises as well as Aussie romantic drama Of An Age. Here’s a list of the hotly anticipated films dropping in Australian cinemas this month.
In the third instalment of the iconic boxing film franchise, we see world-class boxer Adonis Creed, played by Michael B. Jordan, jump in the ring with former friend and boxer Damian who wants to redeem himself after been released from jail.
Scream is back for another stab, this time in New York City, where the recent Ghostface survivors have found their fresh start. That’s until the knife-wielding killer pops up yet again, hunting them down one by one. In the sixth film of the series, we see Courtney Cox return as well as Jenna Ortega and Hayden Panettiere.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods
In the latest from the DC universe, we have the return of Shazam AKA teenager boy Billy Batson who turns into the adult superhero when using a magic word. The newest addition to the franchise will see the return of Zachary Levi, Adam Brody, Helen Mirren, and more.
Mia Goth is back in action as aspiring movie star, Pearl in this original story of the 2022 horror film X. Here, she’s trapped on her family’s remote farm, where she is forced to look after her ill father while dreaming of a life in Hollywood.
John Wick: Chapter 4
