Whether you’re after discos that’ll be in full swing until the early hours, family-friendly events, festivals, or low-key dinners, we’ve put together a list of the best New Years’ Eve events in Perth to reel in 2023, come Saturday 31 December. Take a look, and make sure you celebrate in style!
1. New Years’ Eve at Si Paradiso
The laid-back, but somewhat classy Si Paradiso on the iconic Beaufort Street strip in Highgate will be hosting a whole venue extravaganza with a dinner party and amphitheatre party to ring in the New Year.
In the dining room, feast on Paradiso’s greatest pleasures with a special New Years’ dinner menu which will see Paradiso classics and one-off dishes from the charcoal grill, pizza oven and seafood spread. Sip through their long list of vino, magnums and cocktails, and then join the amphitheatre party to welcome 2023 under the moonlight.
But if you’re not vibing dinner, simply book in for the amphitheatre party with Charlie Bucket and Melbourne-based percussionist, Future Roots for eight hours of vino, music, and Paradico snacks. The sounds of the night will be a juicy selection of afro soul, disco and classics spanning all decades as you welcome 2023.

2. Deco Disco at Strange Company
Fremantle’s poppin’ small bar, Strange Company is hosting their Deco Disco – a New Years’ celebration paying homage to the 1920s art deco movement with a dash of 70s disco opulence. Strange Company will transform into a deluxe club, decked out with glitz and glamour to wave goodbye to 2022 and welcome 2023.
Strange’s Deco Disco will be complete with their decadent cocktails and a special NYE menu to match. The wood-fired pizza oven will be cranking with opulent offerings, with the full menu and seafood specials available the whole dang way through ’til midnight.
Doors will be open from midday, and the live music will be buzzing from 5pm, followed by DJs from 9pm through ‘til countdown and beyond. Dress to impress in your finest threads and capture the moment in Strange Company’s fancy boudoir booth.

3. NYE at State Buildings
Celebrate New Years’ in right in the heart of Perth by eating your way to 2022 with the gourmet selection at the State Buildings. Post is farewelling the year with an Italian feast, Petition is serving up a share-style menu focusing on fresh Aussie produce, rooftop restaurant Wildflower has an exquisite selection of tasting plates, and Long Chim is whipping up a Thai banquet that will transport you straight to Bangkok. There’s a whole bunch of different seating times available, so have a squiz to see what time best suits you.

4. The Night Market NYE
Back for their fourth annual sell-out, Market Grounds in Perth City is throwing another NYE extravaganza, The Night Market. There’ll be DJs reeling in 2022 and the venue will be releasing their iconic mega sparklers from midnight for the big countdown.
Market Grounds will also extend their beer garden to a whopping three times the current size, and includes three permanent bars plus a special spritz cart, caravan bar, roaming Spritz Swan, festoon hanging lighting with plenty of sunken lounges throughout.
Upgrade your ticket for exclusive access to the upstairs level, sunken lounge and booths, plus three hours (7pm to 10pm) of free-flowing wine, bubbles, tap beers, cider and tap spritz cocktails, as well as late night snacks.

5. Miami New Year Festival at The Aviary
Reel in the New Year atop Perth City with The Aviary for their Miami New Year Festival. The night will feature a neon Electric Miami summer pop-up where you can indulge in three hours of free-flowing house wine and beers, and two food stations to sip and graze to your heart’s content. There’s along going to be a glitter bar the help welcome in 2023 in style.

6. The Palace Motel New Years’ Eve
The Palace Motel is a new festival destination inspired by Palm Springs luxury and balmy summer nostalgia, and it’s coming to Langley Park to see out the 2022. To kick off the countdown to 2023, British rapper, Dizzee Rascal will take centre stage in an Australian exclusive performance on NYE.
The Palace Motel will be in full swing on New Years’ Day too with headline and internationally renowned electronic talent including Chase & Status (DJ set), Andy C with MC Tonn Piper, Hybrid Minds, and MC Tempza, along with an exquisite bill of the best DJ’s from around the world.
There’ll be hot tunes, romantic cinematic experiences, summer sun lounges surrounded by tall palms and a body of water – all created by the team behind Origin Fields, Seasons, Inhibit and Palace Arcade.

7. NYE Disco Dreams at Toots
Perth’s best kept secret disco dance floor Toots is throwing their first ever New Years Eve party, Disco Dreams; and if their weekend bashes are anything to go by, this one will be a doozy. Kicking off at 6pm and going ’til the wee hours of the morning, throw on your most fabulous ensemble, race over to Chinatown and hunt down the disco.
Toots a secret bar within a secret bar, and with free entry all night, DJs, confetti, disco ball cocktails and a thumping dance floor – Toots have got everything you need to say cya later to 2022 in style.

8. NYE at The Park
This one goes out to the parents of Perth – countdown early with the kids and welcome in 2023 with the Victoria Park Hotel’s family friendly, NYE at The Park. The Kids Countdown party is free for the family to enjoy in the beer garden with a mini kid’s countdown at 8pm. While that’s happening, they’ll entertain the kids with entertainment including face painting, balloon twisters, party poppers, glow sticks and a lolly station, and you can have a good old-fashioned dinner. Kids are permitted until 9:30pm, and then there will be live acoustics in the beer garden for the big kids.

9. Jazz on the Beach NYE
From 6pm until 1am, Port Beach in Fremantle will come alive with the big sounds of jazz for the annual Jazz on the Beach NYE affair. Usually a sell-out event, this year will see Catherine Summers & her Jazz Quintet taking to one of the three stages spread across the event, with acoustic artists earlier on in the night.
You can expect to hear tunes from The Weeknd, Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, Beyoncé, David Bowie, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and plenty more. The Catherine Summers quintet members are of Marc Osborne on the sax and clarinet, Tristan Wills on the piano, Alistair Peel with the double bass and Dan Harrison behind the drums.
As well as the music, expect to a tiki beach bar, beach lounge, a giant beach tipi, and a sunset terrace where you can witness the final sunset of 2022. Oh, and tiki beach club DJs playing party jams and singalong classics late.
