Tis’ the season for all things red and green – yup, Christmas. Whether you love it or hate it, it’s an unavoidable sight, so you may as well embrace it, right? Embracing the Chrissy season could mean a number of things too, not just shopping until you be dropping. It could mean getting crafty and having a jolly good time with mates; and that’s where Cabernet and Canvas’ Christmas classes come into play.
Across numerous dates in the grand old month of December, Perth’s beloved Cabernet and Canvas are offering a little more than their usual painting while drinking concept. Now, the artsy and boozy house are offering unique workshops that will have you pouring a resin ocean clock, painting a set of Christmas baubles, and creating a wonderful native Christmas wreath, all with a glass of wine in hand, of course.
Over 2 hours, you will be guided by the Cabernet and Canvas teachers in the art of wreath making, all while keeping your personal touch with whatever dried native florals and greenery you like. But if painting is more your style, the Christmas bauble workshops could be more-so up your alley – getting handsy with a set of spheres to hang on your tree at home.
A huge perk of these classes is that they’re beginner-friendly – perfect for those who haven’t picked up a paintbrush since primary school…guilty. You can go on your own, bring a mate or even your whole crew for some friendly rivalry – the choice is yours.
The Cabernet and Canvas Christmas Classes are as follows:
- Paint Your Mate: Christmas Edition – Friday 2 December, 6:30 pm
- Christmas Wreath Workshop (Silver) – Sunday 4 December, 10:00 am
- Christmas Wreath Workshop – Saturday 10 December, 2:00 pm
- Christmas Baubles Workshop – Sunday 18 December, 2:00 pm
- Christmas Baubles Workshop (Family Class) – Wednesday 21 December, 10:30 am
Cabernet and Canvas’ Christmas Classes are set to be help at their bright and leafy studio in Myaree, super close to Westfield Booragoon, say umm, if your wreath doesn’t go to plan. But at the end of the day, art is objective and it’s all in good fun. BYO bubbles and heck, even bring along a Christmas feast if you’re the snacky type. Happy festivity-ing!
