Step aside Bali – come spring 2023, Perth’s Outback Splash located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley, will be home to a new and (very) large resort-style pool, called The Lagoon. Created by Commercial Aquatics, the same team who constructed the pool at Crown Towers; there are sure to be resort sanctuary vibes flowing.
The Lagoon will feature an enormous architecturally designed pool, a swim up island, plenty of shaded areas, a volleyball net, and a shallow beach-style area for younger swimmers and aquatic wheelchairs. Staying true to the venue’s Australian outback identity, it will also feature a large interactive windmill water-play structure.
The Lagoon will be surrounded by complimentary shade umbrellas, palm trees, deckchairs, lounge areas and cabanas for guests to kick back and relax in. Food and beverages will be easily accessible with a new outlet opening next to the pool, serving hot food and cold drinks – visualise frozen cocktails, beer, and wine.
Director of Perth’s Outback Splash, Paul Woodcock says a pool has been in the long-term vision for many years. “Our guests have been requesting a pool for a long time, so we’re delighted to deliver this concept and transition into the next stage of development.
“In 2014 we opened Splash Island which was for young children, in 2016 Octopus Bay was created for toddlers, and in 2019 our thrilling water slide tower opened which was targeted toward teenagers. The Lagoon will be an oasis for adults to retreat and enjoy,” Paul shares.
Commercial Aquatics Operations Manager, James Nancarrow says, “Outside of the project we completed at Crown Towers, I believe this installation will be the best, resort-style pool experience in Western Australia. We are very excited to celebrate the opening of the pool in Spring next year!”
Early Bird Season Pass Memberships for summer 2022/2023 go on sale on Friday 26 August; and if you purchase a Season Pass this year, you will automatically receive an invitation to the official Pool Party opening of The Lagoon in 2023!
