The big, blue, transformer looking RAC Arena on Wellington Street in the heart of Perth City has played host to some of the world’s best live music, sporting, family, and comedy events since its 2012 inception. There’s no doubt that it’s a cracking good venue for live entertainment, and now, the Arena has welcomed back their charity raffle campaign, Golden Ticket.
After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the raffle gives live performance fans the opportunity to win one years’ worth of events at the RAC Arena, with the funds that are raised to be donated to the arena’s long-time community partner, The Salvation Army.
It’s a win-win situation really and it sure shows – as the initiative has raised over $500,000 since the Golden Ticket campaign kicked off in 2013, with previous community partners Radio Lollipop, and Breast Cancer Care WA greatly benefiting from the ultimate raffle.
Not only will you be supporting a good cause, but you’ll also be able to witness some fantastic upcoming acts with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar, Luke Combs, Florence + The Machine, Backstreet Boys, comedian Jimmy Carr, and Michael Buble, plus of whole course the Wildcats and West Coast Fever home games.
The RAC Arena’s current community partner, The Salvation Army says the money raised will go towards meals for those who are homeless, providing nights of crisis bed use, and food provisions for the breakfast meal program.
Warren Palmer from The Salvation Army says, “Right now, across Perth and Western Australia, families are feeling extreme pressure points in their finances causing great anxiety and stress.
“In our neighbourhoods there are unacceptable levels of family violence as well as those experiencing homelessness. Whilst the solutions for these issues are complex, something simple creating a real and lasting difference is a generous heart.
“So to all who are able to participate in the Golden Ticket Raffle, not only will a sensational prize go to a fortunate winner but those in greatest need in our community will also considerably benefit,” Warren shares.
While RAC Arena general manager, Michael Scott says, “As the saying goes, ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’, so I encourage all live entertainment fans to enter and support such a worthy cause.”
The Golden Ticket raffle entry period will run from now through to 30 November 2022. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to support the community, and potentially your winning future self and mates – yep you’ll score two tickets to each event! Nab your $10 tickets using the link below.
