What is red, orange, and filled with crunchy leaves? Perth at the peak of autumn, of course! Lush with rust-hued foliage, the city seems to come alive this season, beckoning you to step outside your usual haunts. A gorgeous location, Raeburn Orchards, located about 40 minutes from Perth CBD, is decked in autumn colours, with persimmons, pears, and more aplenty in season. Here’s all you need to know about this hidden spot.
Raeburn Orchards

The Perth Hills have many spots that become gram-worthy in autumn. The orchard, in particular, is worth exploring, with diverse fruit trees that create a spellbinding environment to walk around. Known for its lush greenery and blossoming stone fruit trees in spring, you might not consider the spot worth the 30 km trip to Roleystone in autumn.
However, various shades of red, orange, and yellow envelop all ends of the property. Persimmons and pomegranates are the main characters of autumn, with the former a speciality of the family-owned business. The 2026 Persimmon Season, starting May 1, features activities such as food trucks, lawn games, and weekend kids’ entertainment through the month.
The orchard is open from 9 am to 5 pm all week. Meanwhile, Coffee @ The Shed, the cafe inside the main Raeburn shop, serves food and refreshment from 6 am to 2 pm. You can buy produce at the shop, which also has a Raeburn Collective for handcrafted trinkets and goodies.
If you’re over 12, you can take a walk among the fruit trees for $5 per person, while children under 12 enter for free!
Getting There

Raeburn Orchards is about a 40-minute drive from Perth CBD. Alternatively, take the Armadale Line to Kelmscott, then catch Route 241 to Raeburn Road to reach the orchard. The whole journey via public transport shouldn’t take longer than an hour.
