We Aussies love a good music festival – whether that’s by means of kicking up dirt in a paddock for a coupla days, along the banks of the Swan River at Langley Park, or over with quokkas on Rottnest Island. Well luckily for us festival-goers at heart, WA (Western Australia) is about to get a brand spanking new musical celebration – Roam Festival.
Roam is Australia’s newest, three-day, electronic music, camping soirée which is set to be held at a yet-to-be disclosed location 90 minutes out of Perth. Come Friday 3 until Sunday 5 March 2023, an impressive line-up of local and international electronic artists will take to the outback stages for an immersive soiree.
Featuring internationally renowned DJs including Overmono, Sub Focus, Netsky, Ren Zukii, Tina Says, Anna Lunoe and Helena Hauff, the festival promises a celebration of music in a unique country setting.
Roam was initially meant to go down in March 2022, but alas the festival was postponed due to Government travel restrictions thanks to Covid-19. Roam Festival Managing Director, Daniel Arrigoni said the postponement, while disappointing, gave the team time to add to its line-up with exceptional artists, as well further finesse.
Those rearing to go will a number of camping options from BYO to glamping and pre-pitched tent options on the cards. While the Roam campgrounds will be coming to life for an all-inclusive artistic experience through not only music, but also a series of curated visual arts.
The first round of artists have been announced, with more to come on Monday 9 January 2023. But thus far, here’s the confirmed line-up.
