The mid-year school holidays are fast approaching, which means it’s almost time to keep the kids entertained in one way or another. One way however is with the return of Schools Out Winter Fest.
After the thumping succuss of the inaugural festival in 2022, Schools Out will once again enliven the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre from Saturday 1 July through to Sunday 16 July.
The mega space will be transformed into a winter wonderland of sorts, complete with a massive ice rink, snow slides, and even ‘snow’ which will magically fall from the ‘skies’.
But if winter isn’t quite on your child’s radar, perhaps they’ll get around the show-stopping Dream Swinger or dodgem cars, some cheeky sideshow games, or the simple things in life like a good old-fashioned showbag.
And in a new highlight at this year’s Schools Out Winter Fest, Icewing the Friendly Dragon will be making a dramatic landing and scoping out the crowds throughout the festival – photo opp. incoming!
If that wasn’t enough to excite the wee ones, they can also find the Runaway Train Roller Coaster, Fiesta Balloon, Taxi Jets, a mini-Ferris wheel, cup and saucer ride, Jurassic Temple, Camelot Castle, and a snowstorm!
Don’t worry, there’ll be coffee on site too, along with a selection of tasty foods, as well as popcorn and fairy floss for the kiddos.
Children’s tickets start from $39, which grants one adult free entry with each child, but additional adult tickets can be purchased from $10 too.
Bookings for the 2023 Schools Out Winter Fest are essential, with tickets up for grabs online. And the best part – no chance of being rained on, making for a dry experience of the best kind, of course.
