Activities which revolve around the great Swan River are never not a good time – whether that’s a walk, skate, bike ride or dinner overlooking the lovely body of water. Well, this summer there’s a new kid on the block for the thrill-seekers, adrenaline junkies and karting enthusiasts; as Stadium Karts is burning into Stadium Park in Burswood.
Come January 2023, the surrounds of Optus Stadium will become host to a 740-metre outdoor karting track, designed by racers, for racers, with the help of world-class SodiKarts.
Lead by former A1GP and V8 Supercar driver, Christian Murchison, Stadium Karts’ custom-built track will be testing your need for speed and agility with some twisty corners and speeds of up to 70 kilometres per hour.
As you slide and glide across the track, take in the spectacular views of the Perth City skyline and Optus Stadium along the Swan River – all while challenging yourself and the most experienced of drivers.
Anyone over the age of 14, and over 140 centimetres tall, can take to the track. Simply head out to the Burswood locale for a solo zoom, or go all out and book the entire Stadium Karts’ track for you and your mates to speed it out together – let’s call it healthy bonding.
Stadium Karts is set to open in January 2023 for a limited time, and races from Mondays through to Thursdays between 12pm until 8pm, and Fridays to Sundays from 10am until 10pm. Get ready to skrrt!
