Sit back, drink and eat up, and enjoy The Great Spectacular’s night of dance, song and cabaret.
Come one and come all and come dressed in your best circus-themed attire because this night out at The Rechabite is going to be a ball. And not only is it for a good cause (supporting Perth’s artistic community), but it’s also for an absolutely brilliant, necessary and essential Australian charity—The Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
To help raise funds and awareness, more than 14 of Perth’s most talented, funny, acrobatic and musically gifted artists will take to the stage for a night of entertainment. Australia’s best MC, Magnus Danger Magnus, will charm and make you laugh as he has done in his infamous sideshow El Bizarro before the theatrics of the night astound and have you in raptures.
These theatrics include showstopping performances from circus veteran Rebecca McMahon, one of the founders and directors of Kinetica Circus, as well as Ivy Raine, Ann Lim, Joey Donnelly and the dynamic duo Anthony and Fay as well as two of Perth’s youngest dancers and entertainers Xinrui Qiu and Hugo Crisp Crow. Between them we will see a variety of sublime skills including gravity-defying feats, daring fire acts, pole acrobatics, contortion, burlesque and dance numbers to keep you cheering for more.
The Great Spectacular wouldn’t be great or spectacular without music. Fortunately, Perth is in no short supply of talent and featuring on the bill will be the one and only Adele-duet and viral sensation, drag queen Dean Misdale. The pop and country starlet Claudia Tripp is also on the cards and the artistry continues with Paige Savill, Jordan Zindani and Beth Thursby who will no doubt set the stage alight with their musical chops. It’s likely you’ve seen them perform before, but never like this.
All proceeds of The Great Spectacular go towards The Daniel Morcombe Foundation and supporting these local artists. To do your bit and help keep kids safe, all you need to do is grab a ticket and enjoy a nine-act night of entertainment at The Rechabite, Perth’s multi-level heritage-listed palace of entertainment.
There are three tickets types to choose from with Silver, Gold and Platinum available, all of which include food, fairy floss and popcorn too.
Silver and Gold tickets get you access to great views from above with balcony seating, three canapés and one substantial meal. For Silver ticketholders, drinks will be available for purchase while those with Gold will get a two-hour drinks package as part of their merry night.
Platinum, though, is where the real fun is at with table seating in amongst the action on the ground floor, a three-hour drinks package and a three-course surprise menu including dessert. Platinum tables can be booked in groups of five (half) or ten if you want the whole table for you and your crew of friends.
It’s more than dinner. It’s more than a show. It’s The Great Spectacular and it’s supporting local artists and children Australia-wide. Get amongst the crowd and be transported from your world to a world of live music performances, aerial and circus acrobatics, and theatre and dance under one roof at The Rechabite.
The Great Spectacular Charity Gala takes place on Friday 30 July from 6pm. When the good times will end is another matter. And remember, dress up and be part of the fun.
