The Merrywell is doing its part to support men’s health and so can you.
To be honest with you, all I knew about high tea was that some of my girl friends like them. Some of them go with their besties, others go with friends they haven’t seen in a long time, and more go with their mums. Like, a lot of them have gone with their mums. (Featured image: Crown Perth)
They drink tea, I guess, and eat stuff too. I believe they also drink, because it’s after midday. Oh, and high teas are always in swanky places so dressing up and looking nice is a must.
But what was so glaringly obvious that I missed it at first, and for awhile afterwards, was that the reason to go to a high tea was to spend time with friends and chat. Talk about anything and everything, and then talk more while you continue to eat and drink.
With this in mind, The Merrywell at Crown Perth has joined forces with the best of men’s foundations, Movember, to put on ‘Dude Tea’ for the entire month of November (except Melbourne Cup Day).
Andrew Hill, the man in charge of food, beverage and entertainment at Crown Perth, said that they hoped The Merrywell’s Dude Tea would provide blokes with the opportunity to discuss their mental health with their mates.
So what are men getting on their Dude Tea stand?
Tier one: Chorizo Sausage Rolls and Mini Loaded Chilli Dogs
Tier two: Cheeseburgers and Onion Rings
Tier three: Loaded Tater Tots, Fish Tacos, and Waffle Fries
Available from 1pm till 4pm daily, it’s time to get the boys on down to The Merrywell for a Dude Tea. Please note that the Dude Tea stand in the feature image is intended to serve four, hence the four beers.
But for added incentive, $10 of every $40pp Dude Tea ($50 with a pint of beer) sold before 30 November will go to the Movember Foundation.
