Artrage, the creators of Fringe World and Rooftop Movies really are pulling through with the entertainment goods as of late. Not only are they bringing us Perth’s very first rooftop rollerskating club this October, but now they’ve announced that they will be hitting the road and convoying The Rocky Horror Immersive Spectacular to 12 regional Western Australian (WA) towns.
This Artrage led production includes a cast of seven WA–based creatives from the disciplines of drag, burlesque, drama, circus and dance, who will treating you to a truly spectacular experience.
2021 cast members Danisa Snake, Ginava, Veruca Sour and Natalie Oakes are returning to the cast in their original roles, while newbie, Isaac Salter is welcomed to the remount of this production starring as Rocky Horror.
Regional and Perth based audiences can expect tantalizing performances from a shadow cast of key characters, whilst the original 1975 feature film plays alongside. In true Rocky Horror spirit, guests are invited to bring out the prop bag to dress–up and sing–a–long.
After a sell–out run at Girls School in East Perth during 2021, it’s no wonder the show is back by popular demand. And just because the city life ain’t for you, doesn’t mean you have to miss out, does it? The people of: Albany, Bridgetown, Bunbury, Corrigin, Kalgoorlie, Katanning, Kojonup, Moora, Margaret River, Merredin, Toodyay, and York, the production is coming to a theatre near you!
But don’t worry, Perthains, you’re getting another chance to catch The Rocky Horror Immersive Spectacular if you missed out last year, or simply just love it that much you need to witness the show again! The tour includes a two–week run in P-Town.
Artrage Projects Manager, Courtney Meagher says, “We are delighted to be bringing this unique production on tour to regional Western Australia. Regional touring is a real passion for Artrage and we can’t wait to see audiences across WA strip–down to their fishnets and help us do the time–warp again.”
Touring is set to begin on Friday 21 October, continue throughout November and conclude on Saturday 3 December, so dust off your fishnets and get ready to Time Warp!
