Pack a picnic and clear the weekend of 21 and 22 November. WA Day Festival returns to Burswood Park with a bigger site, taking over both Charles Paterson Park and Kagoshima Park. More than 100,000 people came through the gates last year, and organisers say the extra space means more room, more shade and more to do.

Entry is free, and so are the carnival rides in the BHP Family Zone. The festival runs from 10 am to 9.30 pm on Saturday 21 November and 10 am to 8.30 pm on Sunday 22 November.
What’s on across the two parks

Families can head into the Big Top Circus Tent for live performances, or try the hands-on experiences at Innovation Alley, presented by Hancock Iron Ore. At the Seven Sports Zone, visitors can take on challenges and meet sporting heroes.
Younger kids have their own corner of the festival. Girl Guides WA’s Big Backyard, creative workshops, roving performers and live shows on the Lotterywest Stage will run all weekend.

Music takes over multiple stages, with a focus on Western Australian talent. The Discovery Stage will showcase the next generation of WA artists. Organisers will reveal the full lineup on 31 October.
Once the sun sets, the atmosphere shifts to illuminated experiences, live music and fireworks on Saturday and Sunday nights. Food is covered too, with more than 60 food trucks on site, or you can bring your own picnic.
“WA Day Festival is a chance for all of us to get together and celebrate what we love about WA,” said Celebrate WA Chairman Scott Jones. “Bring your family and friends and make a day of it.”
Getting there
Free parking is available at McCallum Park and Taylor Reserve. If you’d rather take the train, Burswood Station is a five-minute walk from the site. Organisers recommend planning your journey ahead, and you can find transport and parking details on the official WA Day website. Follow @celebratewa_ on social media for festival updates.

The festival is supported by BHP, the Government of Western Australia and Lotterywest, along with Burswood Park Board, Gage Roads, Hancock Iron Ore, Nova 93.7 and Seven West Media.
