Perth will get the Australian premiere of Magic Mike Live – The Tour, and Adelaide follows six weeks later. The 90-minute show has already drawn nearly two million people to residencies in Las Vegas and London. This version was built to travel.

The production puts the audience inside a 360-degree setting. Crown Theatre Perth and Adelaide’s Festival Theatre will both be reconfigured, so the action surrounds the seats. Expect professional dance, acrobatics, live music and comedy, plus new routines and choreography. Fans of the original will still find the storyline, favourite moments and audience interaction the show is known for.
Channing Tatum created and co-directed the show. Emmy-nominated choreographer Alison Faulk co-directs and choreographs the tour with Luke Broadlick. It is the largest company the show has assembled for a single production, with performers from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Colombia and the United States.

Kalon Badenhorst plays “Mike”. Chelsea Lee Wheatley and Australia’s Julie Yamannee share the “MC” role. South Australian Kiana De Van Der Schueren returns to her home state with the cast. New Zealand-born dancers Mark Lace and Taylor Diamond-Lord, now based in Melbourne, also join the line-up, along with London-based Cameron Holland.
In Adelaide, the season coincides with AFL Gather Round, which should make for a busy few weeks in the city. A limited number of VIP Meet & Greet packages, which let you meet some of the cast, will be available for select performances.
