What to expect at Dining in the Dark?
This special event promises to elevate your meal to a whole new level with dimmed surroundings leaving just you, your taste buds, and your sense of smell to enjoy a three-course meal. You’ll be led into the barely-lit space by a guide who’ll be on hand to make sure you don’t bump into anything on your way in. Blindfolds will also be provided to all guests. What’s more, they’ll help stop you from peeking at what’s on your plate and ruining the experience.
Speaking of what’s on the plate, the courses will be shrouded in mystery (and darkness, of course). However, we can reveal that you’ll be able to select between a meat, seafood or vegan set menu prior to the event to suit your culinary tastes. The Stables restaurant in the heart of Perth’s CBD will play host to this innovative foodie experience. Pass the unique restaurant’s iron gates, make your way down the charming cobbled path, and find yourself dining at a hidden oasis in the city. One of Perth’s original horse stables from 1894, The Stables has been delighting diners with its hearty dishes and exceptional cured meats since 2013.
