Hoo-Hoo-Hoo, Halloween is almost here~
Perth’s spooky season calendar is full of quizzes, costume parties, haunting concerts, and creepy bar crawls. Whether you’re looking for family outings or adult-only celebrations, we’ve got you covered! Halloween falls on a Saturday this time, so our list comprises spooky things to do over October, through the 31st and into November. Here’s what Perth has lined up for the scariest evening (and weekend) of the year:
Exercise your brain cells at Halloween Quiz Night, Tradewinds Hotel

Test your spooky trivia knowledge with questions covering horror classics, supernatural legends, and creepy creatures. Food and drinks are available throughout the evening, alongside prizes for the winning teams and the best-dressed. Book a table in advance to secure a spot for your group.
Immerse yourself in The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Monkey Collective Immersive brings its interactive screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show back to Luna Leederville. This year is especially hard-hitting with the unexpected demise of Tim Curry. But what better way to honour his legacy than to watch his best-known film with like-minded folk?
Guests receive a goodie bag packed with props and chants to play along with the cult classic. The 18+ night kicks off outdoors for pre-show drinks and photo ops before moving inside. An in-cinema bar serves themed cocktails, and dressing up as characters or partygoers is required. Book it now!
Listen to a night of haunted tracks at Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics

The Candlelight series leans into spooky season with a Halloween-themed concert at the historic Perth Town Hall. Under a dramatic 15-meter cathedral ceiling, the Aquila String Quartet will play eerie arrangements surrounded by glowing candles.
The 60-minute program spans classic cinema and pop culture, featuring themes from Stranger Things, The Exorcist, Psycho, and Ghostbusters. Additional tracks include Michael Jackson’s Thriller and classical compositions like Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre.
Let loose at the FVDED Halloween Sunset Boat Party
Kick off your Halloween night with a four-hour sunset cruise along the Swan River aboard The Decoy Paddle Steamer. Local DJs spin vocal house, deep tech, and tech house as you take in the Perth skyline from the water.
The 18+ cruise features a fully licensed bar onboard. Halloween costumes are encouraged but optional, and the boat docks back on land at 9 pm so you can keep your night going in the city. Book now!
Scream along to Hornography and Howl ‘O’ Scream’s annual Halloween fiesta
Perth’s monthly metal night, Hornography, teams up with Howl ‘O’ Scream for a Creature Feature-themed Halloween party at Milk Bar. Expect decor inspired by classic monsters and B-grade films, alongside local merch stalls featuring vendors like Chrystal’s Dark Art.
The live music lineup includes industrial groove act All This Filth, Adelaide blackened death metal outfit Sons of Erebus, solo project The Furor, and stoner metal duo Deathcap Dinner Party. There’s also a costume contest for a chance to win prizes, with metal giveaways handed out throughout the event!
Drink through multiple Perth bars at The Fright Crawl
Weekend passes start at A$65
Grab a wristband and join up to 800 costumed attendees scouring Perth bars. A host guides the group through the city, bypassing cover charges at every stop along the route. The event features a live digital map to track the party’s location as it moves. Expect live DJs playing current hits and Halloween classics at all venues throughout the night. Vibe to emo numbers at Taking Back Saturday: Emo & Pop Punk Halloween Party

From the metalheads to the emo squad, Halloween is like Christmas. Enjoy an emo and pop-punk Halloween party dedicated to the genre’s biggest hits (think MCR, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and more). Lean into the spooky season with themed decor, mandatory costumes, and participate in early-arrival giveaways and a best-dressed competition.
Tackle 35 thrilling puzzles at Prison Island, with a Halloween twist, Horror Story

If you’re looking for a unique Halloween activity, try Prison Island. This escape room lets you bring together friends, family (one adult ticket included for children’s parties), or even Hens and Stag parties (the bride or groom joins free!), and team up in groups of 2 to 5 across 35 themed cells. October brings a new immersive nightmare for ages 16+ on select weekends for a limited time. Buy tickets before they sell out!
Test your American TV lore at Mystical Falls Quiz: Vampire Diaries Trivia Night

Gather a team of two to eight people and battle through questions about the supernatural drama Vampire Diaries and the secrets of Mystic Falls for a shot at a $300 first-place prize. The night also rewards the best costumes. Break out your best vampire, witch, or 1864 attire to compete for additional dress-up prizes before securing your table. To book, check out the Belmont Tavern website.
Participate in the Icons of Fright Quiz Night

Bring 2-8 people to compete for a $300 first-place cash prize with a quiz on slasher villains, hauntings, cult-classic films, and psychological thrillers. Venue rewards are available for the runners-up. Loosey Goose Quizzes hosts the event, which also includes a prize for the best-dressed attendees. Book here.
Celebrate music and horror at the Halloween HFM Megafest Fundraiser

Support local radio station HFM107.3 at this all-ages, BYO Halloween show. The Perth music scene gathers for a massive live showcase, with a sprawling lineup that already includes Electric State, JamArt, Blumetal, Night Skies, and over a dozen more local acts.
Alongside the live sets, the afternoon features games and door prizes. Break out your best outfit for the spooky fancy-dress contest. Under-18s are welcome to join but must be accompanied by an adult. Reserve your spot here.
Attend the Perth Makers Market: Halloween Twilight Market
Perth Makers Market hosts a Halloween twilight event at Burswood Park showcasing handmade goods from WA creators. Alongside the artisan stalls, the market includes food vendors, live music, and a scavenger hunt. Costumed staff hand out sweets to trick-or-treaters throughout the night. The market also runs two costume competitions: one for human attendees and another for dogs. Both winners take home a $50 voucher to spend at the stalls.
Head to Spookfest 2026 at Fremantle Buffalo Club

Spookfest 26 takes over The Buffalo Club for a one-night Halloween show. Double headliners The Floors and Guild lead a nine-band lineup across two stages, joined by Unicorn, Noah Skape, Hip Priest, ParmeZan, Phantom Island, Ursula, and Old Time Sing Song Man.
Costumes are highly encouraged. Dress up as your worst nightmare or come exactly as you are (which is scary enough, if you ask us) for one of Perth’s darkest Halloween gatherings. Book now!
Go Hoa Hoa Hoa at Club Twilight Halloween Perth
The Rosemount Hotel hosts an 18+ Twilight-themed Halloween party playing its iconic soundtracks. Call Me Maybe DJs spin the movies’ music alongside Halloween classics and alternative hits from artists like Paramore, Muse, Linkin Park, and Florence & The Machine. Guarantee your entry by booking here!
Dance the night away at the Gilkisons Halloween Fest
Gilkisons Dance Studio hosts an 18+ Halloween party dedicated to Latin and ballroom dancing. The studio features a main dance floor alongside a shadowed lounge area, a dedicated photo space, and a bar serving themed drinks.
Dress up in dark glamour or as classic monsters, with a costume challenge running through the night. Because partner dancing is the main focus, all outfits need to remain practical, respectful, and easy to move in on the dance floor. Book now!
Eat a three-course meal at a historic, ‘haunted’ location

The Perth Paranormal Investigations Agency hosts a guided evening at the Stirling Arms. Instead of a free-roam ghost hunt, the structured event combines a three-course dinner with a whole-room paranormal exploration, a live Q&A panel, and interactive communication sessions.
A VIP option adds an extended after-dark experience in restricted areas of the venue, plus entry into a draw for an overnight stay. General admission is open to ages 16 and up, while the VIP tier is strictly 18+. Book it here!
Watch a horror movie to celebrate the true spirit of Halloween
When else would you have so many horror, thriller, camp, and magic movies screening around the city? Halloween is THE time to binge the best (and worst) scary films ever made. From Scream to Practical Magic, The Witches of Eastwick to Body Melt, Perth cinemas are embracing spooky season, and so should you. Check out Rooftop Movies, The Revival House, and Luna Palace Cinemas for more information on movies, timings, and tickets.
