The new-age homewares and furniture centre that we all know and love, IKEA are pulling through with the goods and are hosting their IKEA Festival – a global celebration of creativity that will see both in-store and online events going down.
From Friday 26 August until Saturday 10 September, explore shopping events, home makeovers that inspire, and creators re-envisioning IKEA products for everyday living. You’ll be able to “discover simple tips to go from dreaming to doing – make your dream life at home a reality,” so they say!
At Perth’s suburban Innaloo IKEA, eight events will be held over the two-week span – from cooking demonstrations to silent discos, food samplings and treasure hunts; there could very well be something worthy of a day out at IKEA.
Here are the in-store events at Innaloo IKEA:

Live cooking and tasting demo – head to IKEA’s Swedish Food Market to see how they recreate the recipe from influencer, Liz Miu on the IKEA Festival live stream and taste the dish.

Silent disco – join in and dance like no one is watching at IKEA’s silent disco. They will transform one of their corner room settings in the living rooms section into a dance floor.

Food sampling and recipe sharing – roll on up to the kitchen room setting to taste the ginger log made by IKEA’s food team and take a picture to recreate this recipe with Swedish Food Market products.

Home furnishing speed dating – catch up with one of IKEA’s interior designers for a 15 minute speed date located their restaurant.

Food sampling – get to the Market Hall entrance to taste some of IKEA’s Swedish Food Market products.
- Treasure hunt – go and find Fabler Björn bear in the showroom for a chance to win one of five iconic djungelsjog bears (a toy bear) or get a free popcorn.

Live product customisation – IKEA’s store entrance will see a live demonstration on how to customise their iconic LACK table.

Förnuftig air purifier demo – head over to IKEA’s lighting department in Market Hall to learn about the benefits of their Förnuftig air purifier.
