The past few years have seen a dramatic rise in terms of vegan food, culture and lifestyle – with Golden Gaytime even releasing a top-tier vegan version of their infamous ice cream just weeks ago. Perth really is a treasure trove for vegan hidden gems and there’s a celebration going down for World Vegan Day 2022 in Perth City to share the global movement with the greater community.
World Vegan Day Perth 2022 will feature a vegan market, live music, entertainment and an animal rights march. There’ll be animal rights organisations spreading awareness, and food vendors coming from near and far for the annual animal affair.
Hosted by Perth Vegan Expo, the family-friendly event will see a variety of goodies such as eco products, personal care items like deodorant, clothing, and organic goods on offer.
One of the unmissable vendors that will be in attendance is the widely loved and hugely delicious Little Beans Gourmet stall – making their way into the big smoke from their permanent Canning Vale home and bringing their fare closer to city-goers.
Little Beans is a favourite amongst the vegans of Perth and it’s easy to see why. The Asian-inspired eatery offers a completely plant-based selection with delectable creations which pay homage to traditional yum cha dishes using the juiciest of mock meats – your non-vegan friends won’t even know it’s vegan, trust!
Their menu sees snacks and meals with the likes of: Hainanese chick’n rice, honey char siu ‘pork’, Malay spiced chick’n ayam rempah, mouth-watering satays, and chick’n katsu curry – check it out!
The market will go ahead on Sunday 6 November in Forrest Place and is set to run from 11am until 3pm – giving you plenty of time to discover a taste of what Perth has to offer in our little world of veganism.
Entry is free, and the celebration is accessible. All are welcome – vegans, vegetarians and the vegan curious alike. Head on down to Forrest Place on Sunday 6 November to see what it’s all about. Who knows, you might even discover something wildly and surprisingly new.
