The spicy weather has officially arrived at the party that is Perth, which means the great outdoors and water-based activities are all the go. For many Perthians, that entails hitting up the one and only Adventure World in Bibra Lake for a splash and a scream. And now that’s made even easier with the unveiling of a brand new ride.
The theme park announced that the newest addition will be part of the iconic Dragon’s Kingdom and has been dubbed Yarli’s Dragon Chase – the first kid’s ride in over a decade to make its way to Adventure World.
Inspired by fan-favourite character Yarli the Dragon and his favourite pastime, flying; Yarli’s Dragon Chase will take you soaring into the skies. You and your fellow riders will climb aboard and find yourselves a pair of bicycle-style pedals, which gives you the opportunity to choose your own adventure and control the height at which you fly.
The new ride has conjured up by Zamperla, one of the most prolific designers and manufacturers of amusement rides around – with the Italian brand boasting clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, Six Flags and Paramount Parks.
Adventure World CEO, Andrew Sharry says, “We’ve spent quite some time working with the team, both locally at a park level and internationally with our manufacturer and we think we’ve landed somewhere really fun with Yarli’s Dragon Chase.
“Dragon’s Kingdom is the most magical part of Adventure World and is designed especially for families with young children, so Yarli’s Dragon Chase is going to be a really wonderful addition to the Kingdom,” Andrew shares.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Dragon’s Kingdom, the 13,000m2 space now features seven amusement rides, and is complemented by Kingdom Falls – an extensive and interactive aquatic playground that features two shallow pools and multiple interactive aquatic play structures.
“The arrival of a new season is always something to celebrate at Adventure World and we’re looking forward to opening the gates and welcoming our community of adventure-lovers back for another fun- filled season,” Andrew finishes.
Height requirements for Yarli’s Dragon Chase include a 95cm minimum for accompanied children, and a 120cm minimum from unaccompanied children. Get your fix at Adventure World every day of the week between 10am and 5pm – see you there!
