July is shaping up to be a smashing month for Perthies who are passionate about food and wine. After the Fremantle Truffle Festival, the Good Food & Wine Show makes its way to Perth on July 17–19, promising lip-smacking delicacies from hundreds of vendors across the country. Here’s all you need to know about this upcoming food festival!
The Good Food & Wine Show comes to Perth on July 17
As the longest-running and most awarded consumer food and wine event in Australia, the Good Food & Wine Show (GFWS) has been bringing the best chefs, winemakers, and local producers to foodies for over twenty years.
Sip dozens of different wines, artisanal food goods, and watch chefs whip up meals all in one place! 2026 also brings 45-minute cooking sessions to the festival. Up to 40 seats are available, and attendees get a hands-on experience with top celebrity chefs.
Perth’s eclectic event will see Warren Mendes, renowned pastry chef Kirsten Tibballs (seen above), celeb chef Miguel Maestre, MasterChef 2024 winner Nat Thaipun, among other sensational culinary talent, headline individual events.
If you’re an oenophile (wine enthusiast; thank you, Internet), you can’t miss the Wine Selectors tasting room, hosted by an expert who will guide attendees through wine-and-food pairings. Additionally, the free daily tasting sessions (Smooth FM Drinks Lab presented by RIEDEL) led by Shanteh Wale, one of Australia’s top sommeliers, are also bound to be excellent.
Apart from these, find wines from the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Limestone Coast, and about 20 WA wineries, including ten from Margaret River. You can taste and purchase wines for personal consumption (and your next house party) at the Wine Pavilions!
Then, try products from respected cheesemakers, including Meredith Dairy and Ashgrove Cheese. As part of the Cheese Lover Ticket experience, attend a cheese, caviar, and champagne pairing with cheese Specialist and Educator Valérie Henbest from Normandy, France. A match made in heaven indeed!

Getting there
Located near Elizabeth Quay, the PCEC is about 2 km from Perth CBD. While the more enthusiastic lot can walk or even cycle over, the drive via Wellington Street/State Route 65 shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes, even with traffic.
