If you haven’t already heard the news, the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre has been host to the immersive Jurassic World LEGO exhibition by Brickman, for the past two weeks. And whether you pronounce it ‘lay-go’ or ‘leg-o’, the works are set to stay until February 2023.
The exhibition provides inquisitive explorers, such as yourself, with an interactive and thrilling journey through stories and characters from the Jurassic World franchise. The exhibition is the largest that’s ever hit Perth shores that’s for sure, as it’s the biggest LEGO brick adventure ever made by the Brickman team, led by Ryan McNaught.
The world-first exhibition took over two huge years to design and build, and features some of the most complex and challenging models ever built into existence. I mean, there was all that spare time during the peak of the pandemic to set your mind to a new craft, but this takes it all to a whole new level!
You’ll be awe-inspired as soon as you enter the iconic four-meter-tall Jurassic World gates, and it that’s just the start of it! You’ll soon be gobsmacked by over 50 large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made with over 6 million LEGO bricks.
On your Jurasic journey, walk underneath a life size Brachiosaurus, get up close and personal with life size velociraptors and face the fearsome Baryonyx. The Brachiosaurus is one of the biggest ever LEGO brick models in the world, made with 171,150 bricks – it took over 1,477 hours to complete!
You’ll also have the opportunity to try your hand at some LEGO-ing – whether you’re trying out the blocks for the first time, or you’re ready to pop your nostalgia hat on your noggin and let your hands work their magic.
Some activities hands-on include island-building, LEGO brick paleontology and discovery through mystery mosaics, hybrid dinosaur creation, learning to track a dinosaur by creating species footprints, and building escape vehicles to get away from a T-rex. The options are endless with the odd 2.5 million bricks to play with.
All in all, there’s not rush to get down to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre to get a glimpse of the Jurassic World LEGO exhibition by Brickman – take you sweet, sweet time, but make sure you book your spot using the link below!
